Switch is seeking a QA Floor Maintenance Technician I in Las Vegas to maintain clean, safe flooring across facilities and support day-to-day facility operations. The role covers a variety of flooring types and requires operating floor care equipment.

You will follow schedules, inspect equipment, track supplies, and communicate needs. A high school diploma, 2+ years of floor care experience, and the ability to lift 50–100 pounds are required. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Formación

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least two years of experience in floor care, facilities maintenance, or a related operational role.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial floor maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsabilidades

  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of data center and facility flooring according to established standards.
  • Perform routine care across multiple flooring types, including carpet, VCT, rubberized flooring, Ger floor, tile, and grout.
  • Operate floor care equipment safely and correctly, including scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and vacuums.
  • Inspect equipment before use and report issues or needed maintenance.
  • Track floor care supplies and notify leadership when restocking is needed.
  • Follow assigned schedules and work plans set by the Floor Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Complete interior and exterior floor-related work while following safety procedures.

The Role: QA Floor Maintenance Technician I

This role maintains the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of flooring across Switch facilities. You are responsible for routine floor care using established methods and equipment, working independently within defined schedules and standards. The role supports day-to-day facility operations by ensuring floors meet cleanliness and presentation expectations.

Required
What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in floor care, facilities maintenance, or a related operational role.
  • Hands‑on experience with commercial floor maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Nice to Have
  • Relevant floor care or facilities maintenance certifications.
  • Experience working in regulated or mission‑critical environments.
Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and use hands to operate equipment.
  • Work includes indoor and outdoor environments and requires adherence to environmental and safety practices.
  • Requires close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus when using equipment or computers.
  • Personal Protective Equipment is required when working in field or warehouse environments.
