A leading job service provider in Peru is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing, especially using Cypress, and must be proficient in both English and Portuguese. Responsibilities include creating test plans, documenting results, and collaborating with teams to enhance software quality. This role offers an opportunity to work in an Agile environment with minimal supervision.

Formación

• 4 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Experience in API testing and transactional formats.
• Exceptional attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

• Develop and apply testing processes for client needs.

Conocimientos

Experience in Cypress

Proven work experience in software quality assurance

Understanding of software QA methodologies

Experience in writing test plans and cases

Knowledge of web services testing and protocols

API related tools knowledge

Hands-on experience with testing types

Experience in Agile/Scrum

Attention to detail

Responsibilities :

• Create and perform tests to identify software problems
• Analyze and describe bugs and errors found during tests
• Document results of tests for product and software development team
• Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience
• Works together with engineering to help delivering expected behavior for applications
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test coverage plans and cases
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

Required Skills :

• Experience in Cypress
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance of 4 years, in-depth technical support (tier 2 or above) or similar function
• Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Knowledge and understanding of web services testing, http protocols and transactional formats (JSON)
• API related tools (Postman, Insomnia, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• English and Portuguese

Desired Skills :

• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Software programming languages and development
• Experience with web service technology like XML, REST, SOAP
• Experience with QA in DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) workflows or similar software applications
• Being able to skillfully query relational and non-relational databases
