Caterpillar Inc. in Lima, Peru, is seeking an IT professional to support and coordinate IT projects across teams.

The role balances operational support with project delivery, applying ITSM best practices and flexible methodologies to translate business needs into technology solutions. You will work with regional and global IT teams, help test and implement solutions, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Intermediate to advanced English communication skills.
• Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
• Basic knowledge of ITSM concepts and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Support the delivery and coordination of IT projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Assist in managing IT services and operational processes following ITSM best practices.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate needs into technology solutions.
• Participate in system testing, validation, and implementation activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate resolution with internal and external teams.
• Create and maintain technical and process documentation.

What You Will Do

Basic Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Intermediate to Advanced English communication skills.
• Understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Basic knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to project coordination or project management activities.
• Experience with ITSM frameworks such as ITIL.
• Understanding of requirements gathering and documentation.
• Experience supporting testing, troubleshooting, and operational support activities.
• Knowledge of tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.

System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.
