AECOM is seeking a dynamic Mining Infrastructure Lead in Lima, Peru. This senior role ensures operational excellence, delivers mining services, and supports growth across Peru and LATAM, reporting to the Mining Leadership Team.

The candidate will lead a multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed team, drive strategy, oversee day-to-day operations, cultivate client relationships, and uphold AECOM’s standards of safety, quality, and collaboration on major infrastructure projects.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Civil, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in the mining industry, with leadership and operational management.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of the Peruvian mining sector, regulatory frameworks, market trends, and client needs.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a dynamic and experiencedMining Infrastructure Leadfor employment in Lima, Peru. This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, delivering exceptional mining services, and supporting growth of our services to our clients across Peru and LATAM.

As a member of the Mining Leadership Team for Peru, the Mining Infrastructure Lead will play a key role in shaping the future of our mining business, fostering innovation, and maintaining AECOM’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key member of the Mining Leadership Team for Peru & LATAM, contributing to the development and execution of the mining business strategy.
  • Help drive growth initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and expand AECOM’s mining services portfolio across Peru & LATAM.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the mining team.
Operational Excellence
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the department including civil, geotechnical, mechanical, structural, electrical and instrumentation discipline staff.
  • Establish and implement best practices, processes, and tools to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage department performance metrics.
People Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of professionals located across multiple provinces.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that supports employee engagement, growth, and retention.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to ensure AECOM’s position as a trusted advisor in the mining sector.
  • Represent AECOM at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote our expertise and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of multidisciplinary services to clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Civil, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in the mining industry, with a proven track record of leadership and operational managementor demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of the Peruvian mining sector, including regulatory frameworks, market trends, and client needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or equivalent certification.
  • 12+ years of experience in the mining industry
  • Experience with business development, strategic planning, and client relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and manage remote employees effectively.
