Join BairesDev as a Legacy Modernization Engineer. You will lead the transformation of outdated monoliths into scalable microservices, orchestrating transitions from legacy stacks to modern ecosystems while preserving business continuity.

You will design RESTful APIs, refactor .NET or Java code, and implement CI/CD pipelines. This role demands strong English skills and hands-on experience with incremental migration patterns like Strangler Fig.

Formación

• 4+ years in software engineering focused on legacy modernization.
• Proficiency in .NET or Java incl. refactoring legacy codebases like WebForms or VB.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs for microservices migrations.
• Experience modernizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with the Strangler Fig incremental migration pattern.
• Advanced English proficiency.

As a Legacy Modernization Engineer, you will lead the transformation of outdated monolithic applications into agile, scalable microservices architectures. You will orchestrate the transition from legacy stacks to modern ecosystems, ensuring business continuity while reducing technical debt and improving system resilience.

What You'll Do

• Decompose complex monoliths into well-defined, loosely coupled microservices based on business domains.
• Design and implement robust RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between legacy components and new services.
• Refactor brittle codebases in .NET or Java to improve maintainability, performance, and security.
• Integrate modern CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment workflows and accelerate delivery cycles.
• Define migration roadmaps that minimize business disruption while transitioning to modern cloud-ready platforms.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, focusing on legacy modernization and monolith decomposition.
• Strong proficiency in .NET or Java ecosystems, including refactoring legacy codebases like WebForms or VB.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs to facilitate microservices migrations.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD adoption and modernizing software delivery pipelines.
• Experience with architectural patterns for incremental migration, such as the Strangler Fig pattern.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
