Job summary

Saudi Ground Services is seeking an IT Business Solutions Officer in Jeddah to deploy and govern the enterprise architecture, supporting IT enterprise architecture design and enabling efficient delivery of critical business processes.

You will report to the IT Business Solutions Manager and contribute to roadmaps, architecture standards, and data, application, and technology architecture, while liaising with departments to ensure integration and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science or MIS) is required.
• 0–2 years of experience in a relevant field or similar role.
• Familiarity with enterprise IT architecture concepts and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in planning roadmaps and migration strategies for application, information, and technology architecture to meet business needs.
• Assist in analysis to define the architecture roadmap and reduce costs while improving time to market for IT services.
• Ensure compliance of solution architectures with the master IT enterprise architecture.
• Develop and review proposals for SGS projects for external customers.
• Conduct cost–benefit analyses for adopting new technologies and align with tech strategies.
• Develop IT technical standards documentation to ensure technology compliance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE PURPOSE

The role holder is responsible to carry out the daily routine work of deploying and governing the Enterprise Architecture for SGS, provide support in IT enterprise architecture design, undertake the necessary changes/improvements to enable efficient delivery of critical business processes.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational

• Provide support in Plan roadmaps and migration strategies for application, information, and technology architecture in order to meet business demands and growth.
• Assist in the required analysis to define the architecture roadmap with the goal of reducing costs and improving time to market for IT services
• Ensure the compliance of solution architectures with the master IT enterprise architecture.
• Undertake the development and review of proposals of SGS projects for external customers.
• Undertake cost-benefit analysis for adopting new technologies and alignment with technology strategies.
• Assist in development of IT technical standards documentation to ensure technology compliance.
• Define and maintain data, application, and technology architecture.
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure integration and harmony of the architecture.
• Undertake the maintenance and continuous update of application blueprint in order to ensure overall application architecture visibility.
• Keep abreast with industry related technologies and trends and guides the technology roadmap development in line with SGS’s Business requirements.
• Ensure leveraging the knowledge resources in SGS to provide technical recommendations and trends to other stakeholders within IT Function.
• Contributes in performing design reviews in order to ensure that all IT applications are inter-operable, manageable and adaptable.
• Assess any possible redundancy of IT application functionalities within the application architecture in order to minimize costs.
• Contributes in planning for future application architecture is properly identified and complies with leading frameworks and standards.
• Ensure data architecture is implemented effectively and all architectural and technical standards are adhered to.
• Development of optimized solutions and proposes domain specific remedial solutions to existing data inconsistencies and lack of integrity in order to optimize data storage and reduce costs.
