Job summary

Amundi is seeking an Investment Specialist (Product Specialist) in Tokyo on a 2-year VIE programme to support the Investment Solutions Department. You will assist in data collection for client reports, coordinate with global PS teams, and help prepare high-quality performance analyses for existing and prospective clients.

The role requires 0-2 years of investment experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong Excel/Python skills. English is mandatory; Japanese preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in Finance/Investment, Economics or related field.
• 0-2 years of investment-related experience including client reporting.
• Experience in fixed income is preferable.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent English; Japanese is desirable.
• Proficient in Excel and programming tools (VBA, Python).

Responsibilities

• Support product specialists with data collection for quarterly/semi-annual reviews and prepare performance analyses with explanatory comments.
• Assist in regular reporting, performance attribution, and market comparisons for internal and external clients.
• Contribute to information gathering for marketing materials, competitive analysis, and client needs to support PSs and consultants.
• Coordinate with PSs in Tokyo and investment specialist teams in Paris, London, and Boston to share market and product information.
• Help portfolio managers place cash management orders as needed for assigned accounts outside Japan.

Job summary

Investment Solutions Department, which is responsible to import equity, fixed income, multi asset and alternative investment strategies managed by Amundi group companies out of Japan and external managers, and to liaise with PMs/PSs to obtain information about PMs’ ideas on portfolio management.

An assistant to investment professional primarily focusing on quality

communication with both existing and prospective clients, which are

expected to grow further in number, such that the team can maintain

client confidence with the strategies and Amundi.

Fixed income (Main) and other asset class product management

• Support product specialists who prepare quarterly/semi-annual review reports at high quality for existing clients, by gathering necessary data of performance, portfolio analysis with explanatory comments, and byediting them to fit the required formats.
• Support IBD/RBD reporting team by providing necessary information for periodic reporting, including performance attribution and comparative analysis with markets Ø Provide peer comparison of main products by using eVestment or other data vendors' information, eg Bloomberg.
• Help marketing team/consultant relations in acquiring all the product related information, competitive advantage, competition survey, market sentiment of prospects, performances and client demand to support internal and external clients

Involvement in Global Investment Platform

• Support PSs in Tokyo to take care of strategies managed by the group company for platinum clients by updating necessary information
• Obtain the basic knowledge about the products in Fixed Income Business Line as well as other asset class Business Lines.
• Maintain regular contact with investment specialist teams in Paris, London and Boston to share the business information on both sides
• (Occasionally) Help portfolio managers to place trade orders for cash management as a local portfolio manager of the assigned accounts whose main parts are managed outside of Japan.
