Job summary

Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH invites an Intern & Thesis Student in HVAC & Powertrain Cooling to join our European testing team. The role starts in January 2027 for at least six months, with a preferred nine-month duration and an option to complete a thesis afterward.

You will support testing, analysis and development of automotive thermal systems, help plan field tests across Europe, prepare test cars and measurement equipment, and potentially write a seminar paper or

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master student in mechanical/automotive engineering with strong interest in automotive technologies.
• Willingness to travel frequently within European countries; valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Support testing, analysis and development of automotive thermal systems.
• Organize field test planning and coordination across Europe.
• Prepare test cars and measurement equipment prior to vehicle tests.
• Participate in European field tests in Germany, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Spain, etc.
• Perform static measurements of vehicle climate systems and analyze results.
• Support data analysis and reporting of test results.
• Assist benchmarking investigations related to automotive thermal systems.
• Opportunity to write a seminar paper and bachelor or master thesis.

Job description

To start in January 2027, we are currently seeking an

INTERN & THESIS STUDENT HVAC & POWERTRAIN COOLING (M/F/D)

for at least 6 months, preferably 9 months, with the option to complete a thesis afterwards

You will be responsible for

• Support our team with testing, analysis & development of automotive thermal systems
• Organizational support of field test planning
• Preparation of test cars & measurement equipment prior to vehicle tests
• Participation of European field tests in Germany, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Spain, etc.
• Static measurements of vehicle climate systems
• Support test data analysis and reporting of test results
• Benchmark investigations related to automotive thermal systems
• We offer the possibility to write a seminar paper and bachelor or master thesis

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor or Master students in the field of mechanical / automotive engineering or similar majors
• High interest in passenger cars and automotive technologies
• Willingness to frequently travel within European countries
• Valid European driving license B (mandatory) (BE preferred)
• Good driving, vehicle control skills
• Very good German and English language skills
• Good understanding of the European market and customer landscape; prior experience in this area would be an advantage
