ALTEN is seeking a Technical Buyer E/E (all gender) Europe-wide to lead the technical and commercial procurement of E/E components for automotive development projects. You will source ECUs, sensors, actuators, displays, HMI, wiring harnesses, connectors, and connectivity solutions; manage RFQs; evaluate suppliers; and negotiate terms.

English fluency is required; German is a plus. This permanent, full-time role offers international collaboration and growth opportunities across ALTEN's automotive

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Automotive/Industrial/Business Engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience in technical purchasing, project procurement, or commodity management, ideally in automotive.
• Solid understanding of electrical and electronic vehicle components.
• Familiar with ECUs, sensors, actuators, wiring harnesses, connectors, and vehicle communication systems.
• Experience managing RFQ, sourcing, supplier selection, and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with supplier contracts.
• Understanding automotive development and industrialization processes.
• Able to work with BOMs, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Experience with cost analysis, cost breakdowns, and supplier quotation comparisons (advantage).
• Experience with international suppliers and global supply chains (advantage).
• Excellent English communication skills; German a plus.

Responsabilités

• Ensure cost, quality, timing, and supply targets are achieved.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and procurement risks.
• Support supplier development from nomination through prototyping, industrialization, and series production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams across the project lifecycle.

YOU...

Salary starting at €4,300 gross per month (based on 38.5 hours/week), with a clear willingness to offer a higher salary depending on qualifications and professional experience.
