Outlier is seeking native German speakers to record short audio clips and read scripts with varied tones for AI training. You don’t need acting experience, just expressiveness and confidence in front of a microphone.
You will review audio, transcribe details, and help improve how AI understands speech, tone, and expression. Remote work with open eligibility in posting countries; a quiet recording space and reliable internet are required.
Outlier partners with leading AI companies to improve how artificial intelligence understands real people: how we speak, express emotion, communicate intent, and respond naturally in everyday situations. We are looking for native German speakers who are comfortable using their voice. This project is a strong fit for people who can bring clarity, personality, and emotional range to short audio recordings. You do not need to be a professional actor, but you should be expressive, confident, and able to speak naturally in front of a microphone.
Naturally outgoing and expressive speakers are encouraged to apply, even without formal performance experience.
This project pays up to $29 USD per hour for core project work. Contributors may also be eligible for additional incentive opportunities through Missions, Outlier's version of surge pricing. Rates and available work may vary based on skills assessment, project needs, expertise, location, and other factors. Some onboarding, assessment, or non-core work may be paid at a different rate.
This opportunity is open to qualified contributors in the selected posting countries, except individuals located in Cambodia, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Afghanistan, Belarus, China, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Macau, Myanmar/Burma, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Somalia, Ukraine, or Yemen.
