Welo Data is seeking native-level Spanish (Peru) speakers for Project Hydrus, a conversational AI voice recording project. You will submit two audition recordings and participate in two supervised sessions totaling about 8 hours, recorded remotely from Peru.

Pay is $35 per hour. Start date is not specified; freelance engagement with required studio-quality space and equipment. Prior voice acting experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

• Submit two short audition recordings demonstrating natural conversational speech and customer-service style
• Participate in two supervised recording sessions of approximately 4 hours each
• Record scripted material in a natural, everyday conversational tone
• Record spontaneous speech on assigned topics while maintaining consistent warmth and pace
• Follow live direction from a Session Director during supervised sessions
• Manage your own home recording space and professional audio equipment
• Deliver all recordings entirely in Peruvian Spanish, without switching to other languages or dialects

Requirements

• Native or native-equivalent fluency in Spanish (Peru)
• Experience as a voice actor, actor, theater performer, or comparable performance background
• Access to a quiet recording space free of echo and background noise
• Professional-grade microphone for auditions, with a qualifying USB condenser or XLR microphone and audio interface for paid sessions if selected
• Closed-back monitoring headphones for supervised recording sessions
• Ability to self-direct auditions and follow live direction
• Basic audio recording skills, including microphone positioning and identifying noise, clipping, and distortion

Preferred (Not Required)

• Professional voice-over experience in dubbing, ADR, audiobooks, or conversational podcasting
• An existing acoustically treated home recording studio
