Bluelight Consulting, Llc is seeking aSenior Full Stack and Backend NodeJS TypeScript/JavaScript Engineer for remote work across Latin America. The role focuses on building low-latency services, scalable RESTful APIs, and secure multi-tenant architectures with AWS expertise.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to frontend tasks when needed, and participate in tests, CI/CD, and performance optimization. A bachelor’s degree and strong ownership are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices with integration tests against real databases.
• Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance.
• Solid understanding of full stack development with frontend contributions.
• Background with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js/TypeScript.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs on AWS.
• Collaborate with frontend and other teams to deliver features.
• Ensure secure multi-tenant data models and RBAC/RLS where applicable.
• Write tests including integration tests against real databases.
• Manage SQL schema migrations and database changes.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Contribute to frontend tasks when needed.
• Work on challenging, high-impact projects for clients.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation.
