General Function

The Dance Instructor will be responsible for implementing a community dance program and teaching various in-person dance classes for preschool, youth, and teens/adults.

Education/Experience/Training/Certifications

  • A Higher Education in Dance or A Qualification from an Accredited College is preferred, not required
  • Previous teaching experience is required

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teachers using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced levels
  • Develops dance curriculums and prepares lesson plans for 6-8 week sessions
  • Choreographs routines and selects music for an end-of-session showcase
  • Provides a fun and creative environment
  • Performs other assigned duties as directed by the Supervisor

  • Ability to plan, lead, and participate in all program activities
