Manager - Accounting and Finance Solutions | CPA

Leading industrial manufacturer with over $500 million in annual revenue, specializing in the design and production of highly engineered, custom-built products for demanding applications across various sectors. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller (VP Finance), this role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, managing key accounting processes, and overseeing a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong GAAP background, be able to coordinate directly with auditors, and have knowledge of inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the corporate accounting team
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
• Manage inter-company accounts and transactions across six legal entities, performing detailed reconciliations and preparing necessary elimination entries for consolidated financial statements.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis of financial results against budget and prior periods, providing insights to management.
• Manage the general ledger, including review and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Handle inventory accounting, including valuation, reserves, and reconciliation, with a focus on Work-in-Progress (WIP) and estimating costs related to engineering and production until goods are finished.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Shared Services (responsible for AP, AR, and Payroll) to ensure seamless integration of accounting processes.
• Work in conjunction with the International Controller focusing on the Mexico operation to ensure consistent accounting treatment and inter-company coordination.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
