Job Duties
- Under direct supervision, perform assigned duties within the chemical hygiene plan and current HSE laboratory safety standards.
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing duties.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests according to established procedures, selecting appropriate test equipment and instrumentation.
- Build prototypes, models, and special equipment, or perform basic material or environmental tests using electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment, including setup, calibration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and data collection.
- Operate laboratory or other equipment such as pumps and rig equipment as required.
- Document test data for reporting purposes and maintain related files and documentation.
- Perform tasks that impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations; errors are easily measured and confined.
- Require skills typically gained through eight (8) hours of college chemistry (preferred) and two years of related laboratory testing experience.
