Siemens Energy in Peru is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing and commodity management for transformer and switchgear projects. You will collaborate with procurement, engineering, quality, and project teams to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate complex agreements, manage suppliers, and drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements essential for project success.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• 5+ years in Supply Chain, Sourcing or Procurement; experience in commodity/supply chain management and contract management.
• Proven ability to deliver value and cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier analysis.
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems for POs, supplier data, and procurement transactions.
• Self-motivated, solution oriented, strong communication and organizational skills; able to influence cross-functional teams.
• Legally authorized to work in the country of work; Siemens Energy visa sponsorship for internal transfers may apply.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in purchasing strategies and sourcing plans for timely procurement and delivery of materials.
• Serve as liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders; manage end-to-end PO execution and procurement transactions in SAP.
• Prepare RFQ, develop new supply sources, and evaluate market conditions for domestic and international purchases.
• Negotiate prices, terms, quality requirements, and framework agreements to ensure contractual coverage with suppliers.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers through regular business reviews and supplier visits; resolve delivery and quality issues.
• Identify savings opportunities and drive cost optimization and continuous improvement in procurement performance.

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing and commodity management activities to ensure a secure, competitive, and sustainable supply base for Siemens Energy Transformer and Switchgear order execution projects. You will collaborate across procurement, engineering, quality, and project teams to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate complex commercial agreements, manage key supplier relationships, mitigate supply chain risks, and drive cost, quality, and delivery performance that supports business growth and successful project execution. In addition, you may be supporting Operational procurement activities by overseeing purchase order execution, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance, resolving order-related issues with vendors, and maintaining data accuracy within SAP.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Participate in purchasing strategies and sourcing plans to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials and supplies in support of operational and project requirements.
• Serve as the liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders, obtaining required approvals, reviewing requisitions and supply plans, and managing end-to-end purchase order execution and procurement transactions in SAP.
• Prepare requests for quotation, develop new sources of supply, and evaluate market conditions to support effective sourcing decisions for domestic and international purchases.
• Participate in the negotiation of prices, commercial terms, quality requirements, framework agreements, and pricing agreements to ensure contractual coverage with key suppliers.
• Manage commercial relationships with key suppliers through regular business reviews and supplier visits, while resolving delivery, quality, and other supplier-related issues.
• Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying savings opportunities with suppliers and implementing follow-up actions to improve procurement performance and value creation for the company.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
• Preferably 5 years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing or Procurement. Experience in commodity or supply chain management, and contract management
• Solid track record of delivering increased value and significant cost savings for partners and customers through strategic sourcing and supplier analysis.
• Experience utilizing SAP or other ERP systems to manage purchase orders, supplier data, and procurement transactions is highly desirable.
• Self-motivated and solutions oriented, with a mentality for challenging the status quo while building strong, collaborative relationships across all partner levels. Strong individual contributor, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to influence and challenge cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Country of work without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
• Fluent in English.
