Job summary

Bühler Group in Lima, Peru, is seeking a results-driven automation engineer to design, program, test, and commission plant control systems for complex process automation projects.

You will lead PLC/HMI development (Siemens S7, TIA Portal), support project managers, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage budgets and schedules. Willingness to travel and collaborate with customers worldwide is required for successful implementations.

Qualifications

• Engineering or related degree required.
• At least 2 years relevant experience or proven skills.
• Experience in industrial process automation and PLC-based control systems preferred.
• Proven ability to design and implement automation solutions.
• Proficient with PLC and HMI systems (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal).
• Strong documentation and specification writing skills.
• Experience in project management and good planning skills.
• Good verbal and written English communication.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Supports and advises Project Engineers on projects, on all technical aspects related to his specialization.
• Develop and implement demanding automation projects in plant control systems.
• Define the software concept based on documentation and specifications.
• Project planning and controlling.
• Responsibility for budget, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate the various project stakeholders (customers, sales, mechanical engineering, technology).
• Participate in Project Reviews as support of the Project Manager/ Director if required.
• Actively participate in project meetings with cross-functional team members, suppliers, and/or customers.
• Program and test PLC software in accordance with standard guidelines.
• Carry out commissioning of plant control systems both domestically and abroad.
