Kyndryl is seeking a Senior QA Functional & Automation Engineer to advance cloud‑based managed services with a strong emphasis on automation and data integrity across legacy and modern platforms.

The role requires leading QA strategy, designing test cases, and mentoring junior engineers in a partially remote, Lima‑based setting. You will collaborate with DevOps, data architects, and business analysts to ensure high quality releases.

Formación

• At least 5+ years of experience in automation engineering and tools.
• Proficiency in Java (preferred) and Python, Selenium Webdriver, Playwright or Cypress, RestAssured, Postman, or Karate.
• Strong API testing expertise with REST/SOAP services.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• CI/CD integration experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Deep understanding of testing distributed architectures, event‑driven systems, and microservices.
• Legacy and database testing skills – mainframe data, DB2, VSAM, PostgreSQL, ETL, and complex SQL queries.
• Experience with BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) and Gherkin test scenarios.
• Defect management expertise using Jira, Azure Test Plans, or ALM.

Responsabilidades

• Define and lead the QA strategy for modernization initiatives – functional, integration, regression, and automated testing.
• Design and execute test cases spanning legacy systems (DB2, VSAM) and modern cloud‑native platforms.
• Develop, implement, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for APIs, microservices, and front‑end applications.
• Lead data integrity and reconciliation testing for complex data migration between mainframe and cloud systems.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and guardrails during functional validation in distributed environments.
• Manage test data – create, obfuscate, and manage across heterogeneous platforms.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for early defect detection.
• Provide technical leadership, guiding junior QA engineers and collaborating with architects and developers.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Data Architects, and Business Analysts to align testing outcomes with milestones.

The Role
Kyndryl is looking for a Quality Assurance Software Engineer passionate about delivering top‑notch cloud‑based managed services. As a QA Software Engineer, you will ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will define test strategies, spec, cases, and plans, automate tests, manage defects, and mentor junior QA Engineers.
