Job summary

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Work Permit Receiver to join our Automation team. The role supports projects across Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities and Manufacturing, handling permit reviews, safety compliance, and coordination between field crews and permit issuers.

Strong emphasis on reading JSA/Risk Assessments, maintaining permit documentation, and ensuring proper PPE usage. English communication is required; Saudi experience is a plus.

• Minimum 3 Years of Industrial Experience
• Industrial Safety Standards & Work Permit System familiarity
• Oil & Gas and petrochemical experience preferred
• English communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and understand work permits before starting any job.
• Ensure all work is carried out under the proper permit category (Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space, Electrical Work, etc.).
• Verify permits contain required approvals, safety measures, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO procedures, isolation plans, and other safety protocols.
• Maintain proper documentation of permits throughout the job.
• Sign off on completed work and return permits to issuing authority for closure.
• Conduct pre-job safety briefings and ensure workers understand permit conditions.
• Inspect the worksite for hazards (H2S, Hazards, etc.).
• Ensure PPE is available and properly used.
• Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Read and interpret Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessments.
• Act as main contact between permit issuer and work crew.
• Communicate changes or safety concerns to the responsible authority.
• Ensure personnel understand permit conditions and scope.

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking an Work Permit Reciever to join our dynamic Automation team. This role is pivotal in delivering advanced industrial automation and control solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Manufacturing.

At INTECH, you will contribute to complex automation projects involving PLC, SCADA, DCS, SIS, FGS, OSI PI Systems, and Wellhead Automation solutions. You will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering and design to commissioning, troubleshooting, startup, and final handover.

What You’ll Lead and Deliver

• Receive review, and understand work permits before starting any job.
• Ensure that all work is carried out under the proper permit category (Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space, Electrical Work, etc.).
• Verify that the work permit contains all required approvals, safety measures, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, isolation plans, and other safety protocols.
• Maintain proper documentation of work permits throughout the job duration.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and worksite restoration upon job completion.
• Sign off on completed work and return permits to the issuing authority for closure.
• Conduct pre-job safety briefings and ensure workers understand the permit conditions.
• Inspect the worksite for hazards before commencing work. (H2S, Hazards etc.)
• Ensure the availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to read Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessments.
• Act as the main point of contact between the permit issuer (Permit Coordinator/Site Supervisor) and the work crew.
• Communicate any changes, additional requirements, or safety concerns to the responsible authority.
• Ensure that all involved personnel understand the permit conditions and work scope.

Requirements

• DAE (Electrical / Instrument).
• Minimum 3 Years of Industrial Experience.
• Industrial Experience along with Familiarity of Industrial Safety Standards and Work Permit System is must.
• Oil & Gas and petrochemical experienceshall be preferred.
• Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia/transferable Iqama/driving license shall be preferred.
• Ability to understand & Speak in English clearly.
