Job summary

INTECH Automation Intelligence invites fresh graduates to join the Trainee Engineer program, gaining hands-on experience across automation, control systems, and instrumentation in industrial projects.

You will assist senior engineers with installation, testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting, while supporting surveys and data collection on site. A strong emphasis on learning, safety, and teamwork drives this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation & Control/Mechatronics or related field.
  • Fresh graduates / 0–1 year of experience encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of industrial automation, control systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with P&IDs and control diagrams is an advantage.
  • Basic programming knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop hands-on technical expertise.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and travel to sites when required.
  • Commitment to HSE and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

  • Undergo structured training on automation, control, and instrumentation systems.
  • Assist senior engineers in installation, testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.
  • Support site surveys, technical assessments, and data collection.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to PLC/SCADA/DCS/SIS and Fire & Gas systems.
  • Develop foundational skills in PLC/SCADA programming, testing, and commissioning.
  • Assist in control system engineering activities and projects.
  • Learn to review engineering documents such as P&IDs, FRS, and control philosophies.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers and communicate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Support monitoring of project schedules, site progress, and deliverables.
  • Participate in technical training sessions to expand automation knowledge.

What You’ll Lead and Deliver
  • Undergo structured training on automation, control, and instrumentation systems used in industrial projects.
  • Assist senior engineers in the installation, testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems.
  • Support site surveys, technical assessments, and data collection under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Gain hands‑on exposure to PLC, SCADA, DCS, SIS, and Fire & Gas systems through project assignments and site activities.
  • Develop foundational skills in PLC/SCADA programming, testing, and commissioning under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Assist in control system engineering activities and gain exposure to DCS, SIS, and Fire & Gas system implementation.
  • Learn to review and interpret engineering documents including P&IDs, Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Cause & Effect diagrams, control narratives, and control philosophies.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers and support communication with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams as required.
  • Support engineering teams in monitoring project schedules, site progress, technical deliverables, and assigned tasks.
  • Participate in technical training sessions and continuously develop knowledge of automation and control technologies.
  • Maintain a strong focus on HSE requirements and safe working practices at all project and customer sites.
