Job summary

Halliburton in Muscat, Oman is seeking a Well Engineer to lead well proposals, Basis of Design, and operation planning. You will supervise operations, prepare AFE documents, and ensure cost control while coordinating cross-discipline teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in STEM (prefer Petroleum or Mechanical), at least 4 years of well services experience, and a valid Well Control Certificate. Strong communication and risk analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM, preference Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of well services/intervention experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred. Well Control Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the Well Engineer is responsible for well proposals and the Basis of Design.
• Provides Operation Plans and prepares Programs as well as assures technical integrity of Operations planning and execution.
• Responsible for the day-to-day surveillance of operations and for creation of AFE with cost control.
• Participates in risk assessment, forecasts and plans medium and long term needs to meet program requirements, and anticipates operational changes.
• Prepares End-of-Well reports and contributes to knowledge management.
• Ensures proper communication within the project and performs engineering studies to solve recurring problems.

Job Duties

Prepares equipment lists and identifies long lead items. Ensures proper communication within the project. Performs engineering studies to solve recurring problems. Prepares End-of-Well reports and contributes to knowledge management. Requires a Bachelors degree in STEM, preference in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, and 4 or more years of well services / intervention experience. Supervisory experience and exposure to Multi-discipline operations is preferred. Must have Well Control Certificate.
