Surveyor Assistant

As a Surveyor Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the surveyor in conducting land surveys and collecting data. This role requires strong attention to detail, as you will be responsible for accurately measuring and recording data. You will also assist in drafting survey maps and reports, as well as maintaining and calibrating survey equipment. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for the outdoors and an interest in land development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the surveyor in conducting land surveys using various equipment such as GPS, levels, and total stations


• Accurately measure and record data from surveys


• Assist in drafting survey maps and reports


• Maintain and calibrate survey equipment


• Ensure compliance with safety protocols during surveys

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Previous experience working as a surveyor assistant or similar role is preferred


• Strong attention to detail


• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions


• Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques is an asset


• Proficiency in English (French proficiency is a plus for Canadian candidates)


• Must be physically fit to handle long periods of walking, standing, and carrying equipment

Working Hours: This is a full-time position with regular working hours from Monday to Friday. Some overtime may be required depending on project deadlines.

Salary: Starting salary of $1800 per month. Salary may increase based on performance.

Location: This position is located in Khasab, Oman.
