Azure Dine & Hire in Nizwa, Oman is seeking a Surveying Assistant to support the surveyor in land surveys and data collection for diverse projects. This contract role offers hands-on experience in topographical and boundary surveying and requires strong attention to detail and good English communication.

The position involves operating total stations, GPS receivers, and levels, with flexible hours and housing assistance available to help you settle in Oman.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required, but knowledge of basic surveying principles is an asset.
• Canadian nationality preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist the surveyor in conducting topographical, boundary, and construction surveys.
• Set up and operate surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels.
• Collect accurate measurements and data using various tools and techniques.
• Maintain survey equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
• Prepare detailed reports and sketches of survey findings.
• Work closely with the surveyor to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols while working on site.
