Marmul Falcon is seeking an experienced Substation Maintenance Engineer in Oman. You will lead maintenance on HV GIS and AIS substations, ensure safety compliance, and troubleshoot complex equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, CTs/VTs, and battery systems.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of hands-on HV substation experience, strong knowledge of protection and control systems, and the ability to interpret single-line diagrams and drawings.

Formación

• 7+ years of proven experience in high-voltage substation maintenance.
• Experience with GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) and AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) substations.
• Maintenance experience of transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors/isolators, earthing systems, protection and control systems, CTs and VTs/CVTs, battery and DC systems.
• Strong understanding of HV electrical systems, protective schemes, testing and troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Lead maintenance activities for HV GIS and AIS substations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on substation equipment.
• Review single-line diagrams, schematics and technical drawings for maintenance tasks.
• Ensure electrical safety procedures and permit-to-work compliance.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Substation Maintenance Engineer to join our team.Requirements:Minimum 7 years of proven experience in high-voltage substation maintenance.Strong hands-on experience with GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) and AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) substations.Proven knowledge and experience in maintenance of associated substation equipment, including:TransformersCircuit breakersDisconnectors / isolatorsEarthing systemsProtection and control systemsCTs and VTs/CVTsBattery and DC systemsSubstation auxiliary systemsGood understanding of HV electrical systems, protection, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive/corrective maintenance.Experience with high-voltage equipment testing and commissioning is an advantage.Gulf experience is preferred.Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and HV switching procedures.Ability to read and understand electrical single-line diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.Relevant engineering qualification/certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Ideal Candidate:A technically strong engineer with demonstrated field experience in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HV GIS and AIS substations and associated equipment.
