Job summary

Marmul Falcon is seeking a skilled electrical installer for GIS substations in Oman. You will perform installation and assembly of GIS equipment and electrical systems, under supervision, coordinating with site engineers and other teams to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role requires hands-on experience with GIS equipment, high-voltage substations, cable termination, earthing, and control wiring. Gulf-region experience and strong HSE awareness are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in substation electrical installation.
• GIS substation installation and assembly experience.
• Good practical knowledge of GIS equipment and systems.
• Experience with high-voltage substations, 132kV–400kV or similar.
• Ability to read SLDs, electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience in cable termination, earthing, control wiring and auxiliaries.
• Knowledge of GIS manufacturer installation procedures is an advantage.
• Gulf experience and working with major utility standards preferred.
• Strong awareness of electrical safety and site HSE requirements.
• Teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation and assembly activities for GIS substations according to approved drawings and procedures.
• Perform installation of GIS equipment and related electrical systems under supervision.
• Assist in GIS switchgear modules, circuit breakers, disconnectors, busbars and related equipment.
• Carry out cable laying, termination, and connections as per specifications.
• Read and interpret SLDs, diagrams, and installation drawings.
• Coordinate with other teams to sequence electrical works.
• Support QA/QC during inspections and punch-list clearance.
• Assist with pre-commissioning activities and energization support.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and permit-to-work system.
