SOHAR Port and Freezone is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead planning, sourcing, and contract management activities in a port and freezone environment. You will consolidate requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and drive negotiations to secure favorable terms while ensuring governance and risk controls are applied across the supplier base.

The role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, English and Arabic fluency, and a track record of delivering value

Formación

• Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in procurement, tendering, commercial negotiation, and contract management.
• Sound knowledge of procurement governance, tendering methods, contract terms, supplier performance management, and commercial risk.
• Proven ability to lead sourcing initiatives, negotiations, evaluations, contract administration, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, report-writing, and decision-making skills.
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality, fairness, and attention to detail.
• Professional procurement or contract management certification (e.g., CIPS) preferred.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Responsabilidades

• Consolidate business requirements and prepare the annual procurement and contract plan.
• Develop fit-for-purpose sourcing strategies based on spend, market, demand, risk, and supplier analysis.
• Lead prequalification, tendering, clarification, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic sourcing plans for product lines or categories.
• Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify opportunities and risks.
• Define sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery while mitigating risks.
• Manage contract mobilization, milestones, variations, claims, renewals, and close-out.
• Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and coordinate corrective actions.
