Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment in Muscat seeks a Corporate Finance Business Partner to lead OPEX/CAPEX budgeting for corporate functions, deliver rolling forecasts, and provide insights to optimize the bottom line.

You will partner with Corporate, HR, IT, Facilities and Internal Audit, evaluate proposals and drive cost governance, CAPEX ROI, and monthly close using SAP, SAC, Concur and Power BI.

• Experience in budgeting and forecasting for corporate functions.
• Ability to provide cost analysis and variance analysis.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual OPEX and CAPEX budgeting for Corporate Functions in alignment with business priorities and cost optimization targets.
• Deliver rolling forecasts and analyze variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide clear insights on cost drivers, value leakage, and bottom-line improvement opportunities.
• Support Planning, Latest Estimate (LE), and management reporting requirements.
• Act as a trusted finance partner to Corporate, HR, IT, Facilities, Corporate Relations, and Internal Audit.
• Provide commercial and financial evaluation for proposals, tenders, and initiatives.
• Challenge assumptions and influence trade-off decisions using data-driven analysis and scenarios.
• Own OPEX governance, ensuring spend control, transparency, and compliance with policies and delegations of authority.
• Balance cost efficiency with operational effectiveness through proactive stakeholder engagement.
• Strengthen cost control frameworks and identify opportunities for simplification and efficiency.
• Review and validate CAPEX business cases, including NPV, ROI, and payback analysis.
• Track approved investments, capitalization, and post-implementation financial performance.
• Support capital prioritization decisions under constrained funding environments.
• Lead monthly financial close activities for Corporate Functions, ensuring accurate accruals, allocations, and reporting.
• Prepare management reports and performance commentary within agreed timelines.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee employee expense validation through Concur, including corporate card and out-of-pocket claims.
• Ensure expenses and vendor payments comply with policies, contracts, and accounting standards.
• Partner with Accounts Payable and Procurement to resolve issues and improve payment cycle efficiency.
• Leverage ERP and digital tools (SAP, SAC, Concur, Power BI) to improve reporting quality and automation.
• Drive process improvements in budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and financial reporting.
