Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Stores & Procurement Professional to manage our inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships, and store operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in procurement, inventory management, and team leadership, preferably within a manufacturing or retail setup.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Oversee storage and handling of materials and supplies.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Conduct routine physical stock audits and reconcile with system data.
  • Organize warehouse items for ease of access and usability.
  • Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of inventory.

Procurement & Purchasing

  • Source, evaluate, and procure goods, materials, and services as per company needs.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with suppliers.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders; track and follow up for timely deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor their performance.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies, and payments.
  • Explore cost-saving opportunities through regular contract reviews and market analysis.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records, including invoices and contracts.
  • Prepare and update procurement reports and inventory logs.
  • Ensure document compliance and easy retrieval during audits.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Assist in developing procurement budgets and track expenditures.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising on quality.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with internal departments to gather material requirements.
  • Resolve any discrepancies between ordered and received goods.
  • Ensure smooth communication between stores, procurement, and operations teams.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and company-specific compliance standards.
  • Inspect received goods for quality and report defects or mismatches.

Team Supervision

  • Lead, train, and supervise storekeepers and procurement personnel.
  • Allocate work, monitor performance, and conduct periodic reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 35 years in stores and procurement roles, preferably in manufacturing or retail sectors.
  • Skills:
