Job description

To supervise warehouse operations to ensure that orders are selected, packaged, loaded, and dispatched safely, timely, and efficiently, and proper records are maintained.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintaining & Reviewing Records

Compile and maintain equipment inventory records, in-process reports, and track the status and location of equipment.

Review inventory records regularly, manage inventory control policies (minimum inventory, reorder points, economic batch sizes), and place orders with suppliers to ensure the availability of required equipment.

2. Inventory Maintenance

Coordinate equipment management, including just-in-time delivery, storage, handling, and control in line with company policies.

Organize and maintain inventory and stock control, ensure storage areas and warehouse are kept clean and tidy, and identify opportunities for process improvements and work practice enhancements.

3. Shipments Monitoring

Monitor shipments and deliveries, maintaining records and documentation.

Utilize reports to stay informed about warehouse project statuses and follow up accordingly.

4. Communication with Stakeholders

Communicate with vendors regarding delivery issues to resolve problems and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.

5. Administrative Tasks

Prepare and process shipping paperwork and invoices for customer deliveries, including mailing documents.

6. Expedition of Equipment

Coordinate and expedite equipment, parts, and assemblies according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities.

7. Specifications Checking

Verify that delivered equipment conforms to specifications.

Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

8. Health, Safety & Quality

Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards to ensure employee safety and legislative compliance.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on system, process, and practice enhancements, cost reduction, and productivity gains.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Educational & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Professional warehousing certification is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in warehousing, preferably in the power generation industry or process plant operations.
  • Experience with SAP and Material Management is advantageous.
