Job Overview

Provides support on supervising and coordinating security activities and tasks at designated areas to support operations and protect people and assets from physical threats. Acts as delegated authority to eliminate or mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

Security Operations

• Execute actions required to provide onsite surveillance for all assets.
• Identify and monitor potential and actual risks, implementing corrective actions to eliminate them.
• Manage and deploy resources required to ensure proper onsite security services for the assets.
• Ensure the security of facilities, assets, and personnel.
• Monitor security systems, including alarms and cameras, for any suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect unauthorized access.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies such as breaches, alarms, or disturbances.
• Enforce access control procedures, including verifying identification and issuing visitor passes.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed for investigations or assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents, actions taken, and personnel movements.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Provide security awareness training to employees and contractors.
• Maintain crowd control and proper deployment of security officers.

Security Governance

• Prioritize preventive and emergency actions onsite to protect people, assets, and the environment.
• Develop statistics and indicators to assess security services at the designated area.
• Collaborate with the integration of security controls throughout the organization.
• Ensure security processes are governed by consistent organizational policies and practices.
• Enforce compliance with the security program in a balanced manner across the organization.
• Coordinate information security with physical security and ensure an effective security awareness program.

Crisis Management and Emergency Response

• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Conduct drills and exercises to evaluate effectiveness of emergency response protocols.
• Coordinate with emergency services and first responders during crisis situations.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and visitors during evacuations or lockdowns.
• Assess and address any vulnerabilities in emergency preparedness and response.
• Investigate security incidents and accidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.

Security Administration and Compliance

• Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security.
• Manage access control systems and databases to ensure accurate records of personnel and visitor movements.
• Review and update security policies, procedures, and protocols in line with best practices.
• Conduct security audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide security-related reports and updates to management as required.
• Oversee procurement and maintenance of security equipment and technology.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on background checks and screening processes for personnel.
• Manage security-related documentation such as incident reports, investigations, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Security or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (security guard, officer, or military police).
• Relevant professional qualifications in security.
• Strong knowledge in applying risk management techniques, incident investigation, and background training.
• Experience in security system administration (access, control, CCTV, etc.) to supervise teams and processes.
• Background as ex‑military or security professional officer (preferred but not required).
• Soft skills: collaborative teamwork, initiative-taker, delivery‑oriented attitude, effective communication and presentation, time management, scheduling, problem identification, solution orientation, risk assessment, analytical thinking.
• Technical skills: excellent computer literacy with expertise in MS Office and security system administration.
