Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate security activities and tasks at designated areas to protect people and assets from physical threats.
• Execute onsite surveillance for all assets, identify and monitor potential and actual risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate them.
• Manage and deploy resources required to assure proper onsite security services for the assets.
• Ensure that all security measures, standards, and systems in the designated area are aligned and maintained.
• Maintain crowd control and protect people and property.
• Ensure security of facilities, assets, and personnel by monitoring security systems, including alarms and cameras, for suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises to deter and detect unauthorized access.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies such as breaches, alarms, or disturbances.
• Enforce access control procedures, verify identification, and issue visitor passes.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed for investigations or assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents, actions taken, and personnel movements.
• Conduct security risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Provide security awareness training to employees and contractors.
• Ensure proper deployment and availability of security officers to protect people and property.
• Assist in the ongoing maintenance of alarm systems, CCTV, and communication protocols.
• Report suspects to police or order apprehension of offenders as appropriate.
• Provide armed protection for designated organizations such as banks and other high-risk facilities.
• Contribute to crisis management and emergency response by developing plans, conducting drills, and coordinating with emergency services.
• Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security.
• Manage access control systems and databases to ensure accurate records of personnel and visitor movements.
• Review and update security policies, procedures, and protocols to align with best practices.
• Conduct security audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide security-related reports and updates to management as required.
• Oversee procurement and maintenance of security equipment and technology.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Security or Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of relevant experience as a security guard, officer, or military police.
• Relevant professional qualifications in security.
• Strong knowledge of risk management techniques.
• Knowledge of incident investigation.
• Knowledge, background, and training in all security system administration (access control, CCTV, etc.).
• Background as a former military or security professional officer (preferred).
• Ability to supervise a team and manage processes.
