Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, I will manage the efficient operation of my department to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.

I will work strategically with the Director of Wellness to develop cohesive and productive goals for my department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them. I will maintain overall consistency with the company's vision, quality standards, and develop concepts aligned with brand identity.

My scope of work includes:

  1. Keeping abreast of industry trends and practices, updating knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offerings.
  2. Assessing and reviewing processes regularly to ensure relevance, innovation, and alignment with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
  3. Reviewing services, products, and rates to ensure relevance and consistency with wellness and sustainability standards.
  4. Ensuring the efficient operation of the spa, effectively handling guest complaints through service recovery or delegating to hosts to ensure guest satisfaction.
  5. Meeting regularly with the Director of Wellness to plan next steps in spa operations and liaising with involved departments.
  6. Gaining knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the spa, including treatments, packages, wellness plans, and promotions.
  7. Overseeing management of guest history and profiles.
  8. Conducting site inspections and ensuring all details are in place for daily operations.
  9. Managing the Visiting Experts calendar and developing spa packages and programs, adapting the spa menu to align with company updates, local market, and guest requirements.
Qualifications

To fulfill the Spa Manager role, I possess the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar or higher role in luxury hotels with proven results.

  1. I hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Wellness, or Business Management and have over two years of experience in a similar hotel operational role.
  2. Technical skills include proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with hotel systems like POS, PMS, and CRM platforms.
