Overview
Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa is set on 124 acres and is home to three hotels: Al Waha (262 rooms), Al Bandar (198 deluxe rooms), and Al Husn (180 guestrooms and suites). The resort features 22 food and beverage outlets, a 1,056 sqm ballroom with 8 breakout rooms, a wide range of recreational facilities, and a spa with 12 treatment villas.
The Spa Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and ambiance of the spa and wellness areas, ensuring a seamless and relaxing environment for guests by providing support to the spa team, replenishing supplies, and assisting with guest needs in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Assistance
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through spa facilities and amenities.
- Offer towels, robes, refreshments, and other necessities during their visit.
- Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally to ensure comfort and satisfaction.
Spa Cleanliness & Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of all spa areas, including treatment rooms, relaxation lounges, locker rooms, wet areas, and restrooms.
- Sanitize and restock treatment rooms between sessions according to hygiene standards.
- Ensure supplies such as towels, linens, water, and toiletries are consistently replenished.
Setup & Support
- Assist therapists by preparing treatment rooms with proper setup and ensuring smooth treatment turnover.
- Check and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the Spa Manager.
- Monitor inventory levels of linens, amenities, and products; assist in stockroom organization.
Ambiance & Experience
- Maintain spa ambiance by adjusting lighting, music, and temperature appropriately.
- Ensure all guest areas are tidy, serene, and stocked throughout the day.
- Support spa events or VIP setups as needed.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with therapists and receptionists for smooth scheduling and guest flow.
- Participate in briefings, training sessions, and spa meetings when required.
- Communicate guest feedback, preferences, and concerns to the relevant team members.
Standards & Conduct
- Follow grooming, hygiene, and conduct standards as set by the company.
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a professional, calm, and guest-focused demeanor at all times.
