Job summary

KalSoft in Muscat seeks an experienced SOC Manager to oversee the continuous operation of the SOC across onsite and remote shifts, manage performance, and coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure security incidents are detected, escalated, and resolved promptly.

You will lead L1/L2 SOC Analysts, review incidents for accuracy and closure, and produce weekly and monthly reports while driving improvements through playbooks, process documentation, and strong communication with cross-functional

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in SOC, cybersecurity, or security operations.
• Strong experience in SOC management and security incident handling.
• Experience leading and mentoring L1/L2 SOC Analysts.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
• CISSP, CISM, GIAC (e.g., GSEC), and/or relevant ISACA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day SOC operations and ensure SLAs and reporting standards.
• Lead and mentor L1/L2 SOC Analysts, assign workloads, review escalations.
• Coordinate with Mala'a management and engineering teams to improve detection, tuning, and escalation processes.
• Review security incidents for accuracy, completeness, and timely closure.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports covering incidents, trends, and recommendations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for SOC performance, incidents, and escalations.
• Drive continuous improvement through process documentation and playbook enhancement.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day SOC operations and ensure adherence to defined SLAs and reporting standards
• Lead and mentor L1/L2 SOC Analysts, assign workloads, and review escalations
• Coordinate with Mala'a management and engineering teams to improve detection, rule tuning, and escalation processes
• Review security incidents for accuracy, completeness, and timely closure
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports covering incidents, trends, and recommendations
