Job summary

Confidential Careers is hiring a Planning Engineer for a railway project in Oman. You will develop and manage project schedules, baselines, and look-ahead plans using Primavera P6, while coordinating with multiple teams to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 5–8 years of planning experience in construction, with mandatory railway/metro project exposure and proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project. Relocation to Oman is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 5–8 years planning experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Railway or metro project experience is mandatory.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Experience in scheduling, progress monitoring, and delay analysis.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Candidates in Oman or able to relocate are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programmes, look-ahead schedules, and progress reports.
• Monitor actual progress against planned targets and identify schedule deviations.
• Conduct critical path analysis and recovery plans for delays.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and subcontractor teams.
• Prepare progress reports, S-curves, resource histograms, and forecasts.
• Support delay analysis, EOT claims, and schedule risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with milestones and contractual requirements.
