Job summary

SGS is seeking a Principal, Process Technology to lead process technology and engineering activities across operations, maintenance, and capital projects. The role provides technical leadership in process engineering, plant optimization, and troubleshooting, and supports plant expansions, commissioning, and start-up activities.

The candidate will review and approve process engineering designs, calculations, and deliverables, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Energy, or related industries.
• Minimum 5 years of technical engineering experience in a processing or industrial environment.
• Strong experience in process engineering, plant operations support, process safety, and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting major industrial projects, commissioning, and plant modifications.
• Knowledge of APC, HAZOP, SIL, and process optimization methodologies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead process technology and engineering activities across operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
• Provide technical leadership in process engineering, plant optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Support plant expansions, modifications, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Review and approve process engineering designs, calculations, and technical deliverables.
• Identify and resolve complex process-related operational challenges.
• Lead process safety studies including HAZOP, SIL assessments, and technical risk reviews.
