Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment in Duqm, Oman seeks a Senior Power System Secondary Engineer with 8+ years of experience in substation secondary design and delivery. You will lead reviews of SLDs, PMDs, BLDs, and automation interfaces for HV substations and renewables.

Responsibilities include verifying protection philosophies, relay coordination studies, and IED configurations, plus ensuring standards. Strong focus on grid code adherence and EPC interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or closely related field.
• PE/CEng or equivalent is an advantage.
• 8+ years in substation secondary systems design and delivery.
• Experience with renewables and EPC contractor deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and verification of secondary design deliverables (SLDs, PMDs, BLDs, schematics, LV design).
• Verify protection philosophies, relay settings, and coordination studies.
• Review interlocking schemes and station automation across switchgear and interfaces.
• Approve SCADA architectures and IED configurations; oversee communications architectures.
• Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE grid codes and interface with EPCs and operators.
