Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a senior Electrical/Substation Engineer for the Duqm, Oman region. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems and bring substantial HV/EHV substation experience.

Expert knowledge of protection schemes for voltages up to 400 kV, plus hands-on IEC 61850 engineering and IED configuration experience, is required. Strong familiarity with industrial communication protocols and power system studies will be highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience with HV/EHV substations (33kV–400kV).
• Expert knowledge of protection schemes up to 400 kV.
• Proficiency in IEC 61850 engineering and IED configuration tools.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, Modbus).
• Experience with power system studies and tools like ETAP or DIgSILENT PowerFactory preferred.
• Understanding of PPC, EMS, reactive power controllers, and BESS/EMS/BMS architectures.
