Job summary

Galfar Engg. & Contracting SAOG in Muscat, Oman is seeking a Civil Land Surveyor for major infrastructure projects.

The role involves carrying out initial surveys and impact assessments, setting out road alignments, collecting topography data, and coordinating with Engineers and Project Managers to ensure work is completed on time.

Candidates should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying and 5–7 years of field experience using Total Station, GNSS/GPS and leveling instruments.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying is required.
• 5-7 years of land survey experience on infrastructure projects using Total Station, GNSS/GPS and leveling instruments.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out initial surveys and impact assessments on potential sites.
• Measure and install control points for survey and establish bench marks.
• Collect topography data to map land shapes for civil engineering projects and inform site plans.
• Study drawings and prepare grade sheets.
• Set out road alignment, levels, embankments and drainage lines.
• Set out duct, electrical and cables relocation with level.
• Set out bridges, culverts, retaining walls and related structures.
