Job summary

Gender is seeking a Lead Internal Auditor to head internal audit engagements, evaluate governance, risk management and internal control systems, and provide independent assurance with value-added recommendations to management.

The Lead Internal Auditor is also responsible for coaching, training, and developing subordinate auditors to enhance the overall capability and effectiveness of the Internal Audit function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, or related field.
• Industry-standard internal audit practices and governance knowledge.
• Leadership experience in supervising audit teams and delivering reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage internal audit engagements from planning through reporting and follow-up.
• Develop risk-based audit programs and testing procedures.
• Evaluate internal controls, governance processes and risk management practices.
• Conduct financial, operational, compliance, and special audits.
• Review compliance with policies, procedures, laws, regulations and standards.
• Identify control weaknesses and opportunities for process improvements.
• Coordinate audit activities with management and auditees.
• Review findings, prepare audit reports, present to management, and monitor corrective actions.
