Job summary

General Engineering Services -GENSERV in Oman seeks a Heavy Equipment Engine Specialist to diagnose, teardown, and rebuild complex diesel engines on heavy machinery. You will work across brands with a preference for Volvo CE engines and electronic diesel injection systems.

This role requires five years of hands-on auto-electrical or heavy equipment experience, reading engineering drawings, performing precision machining, and ensuring engines meet factory tolerances.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Automobile, Diesel, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of five years hands-on experience with heavy construction equipment.
• Proven Volvo CE systems experience and diagnostic software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and failure analysis on mechanical and electronic diesel engines.
• Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild heavy-duty engines with precision machining.
• Read engineering drawings and manufacturer specs for clearances and timing.
• Diagnose and repair electronic engine management systems including ECUs.
• Execute post-rebuild testing and timing calibrations to meet factory metrics.
• Maintain records of electrical modifications and diagnostic logs.
