Job summary
General Engineering Services -GENSERV is seeking a Heavy Equipment Electrical Specialist to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and configure complex electrical and electronic systems on heavy construction machinery. The role emphasizes Volvo CE systems and electro-hydraulic integration to ensure maximum uptime.
The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or certification in Electrical/Electronics, at least five years of hands-on auto-electrical experience with heavy equipment, and proficiency with Volvo
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Electrics, or related technical field.
- Five years of hands-on auto-electrical experience with heavy construction equipment.
- Experience with Volvo CE systems and Volvo Tech Tool is strongly preferred.
- Certified Heavy Equipment Electrical Technician or equivalent certification is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced electrical diagnostics on heavy machinery using diagnostic tools to locate faults.
- Configure, calibrate, and program ECUs, displays, and safety systems after replacements or software updates.
- Read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, schematics, and network maps.
- Diagnose and repair faults affecting hydraulic control systems and electro-hydraulic valves.
- Repair or replace damaged wiring harnesses, connectors, fuse panels, and sensors to OEM standards.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical modifications, software versions, and diagnostic logs.
