ABM is looking for a Senior Engineer, Pre Sales in Oman to oversee the installation and commissioning of communication systems. You will serve as a key technical resource for clients in industrial sectors, ensuring optimal performance of systems including paging, intercoms, and emergency notice systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication or Electronics Engineering and 4-5 years of experience in the telecom installation sector.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of proven experience in Telecom industry installation.
• Strong knowledge of acoustic systems, paging, speakers, and amplifiers.
• Any GAI-Tronics product certification is a strong advantage.

Job description

Role Purpose

Senior Engineer, Pre Sales will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support of the communication systems. This role serves as a key technical resource for clients across industrial and critical infrastructure sectors, ensuring seamless deployment and ongoing performance of communication solutions including industrial telephones, paging and intercom systems, public address and general alarm (PAGA) systems, and mass notification platforms.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

• Install, configure, and commission GAI-Tronics communication systems at client sites.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare installation diagrams in line with project specifications, utilizing MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Ensure all installations comply with applicable safety standards and client requirements.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for GAI-Tronics product lines including PAGA, intercom, mass notification, and radio dispatch systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults in a timely manner.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance schedules and update maintenance records accordingly.
• Coordinate with clients to minimize downtime and ensure system continuity.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned client accounts.
• Deliver product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations to end users.
• Provide recommendations for system upgrades and enhancements based on client needs.
• Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and service activities.
• Prepare technical reports, as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
• Update internal systems with service history, parts usage, and client feedback.
• Liaise with sales, project management, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and execution.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors as required.
• Escalate complex technical issues to principal or regional support teams with full documentation.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Any GAI-Tronics product certification is a strong advantage.

Required Years Of Experience

4-5 years proven experience in Telecom industry installation (Acoustic Systems, Paging, Speakers and Amplifier).
