Job description

The project:

Be a part of our international consultancy business that spans our five global hubs, where we oversee work for world-leading organisations across the public and private sectors.

Our Middle East and North Africa hub started in 1998 and has successfully operated in a wide range of countries, delivering project and programme management and cost consultancy services.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Demonstrable portfolio management experience in a consultancy or client capacity.
  • Train the incumbent team in deployment of digital services across the portfolio, comprising: software procurement, management of software provider contracts and SLA’s, configuration and development cycles for Power Bi, GIS and Autodesk Construction Cloud, hardware resilience and developing/managing a standard on-site office specification and implementation.
  • Oversight of digital team performance and continued improvement in standard processes
  • Provide training for the team to allow them to become self-sufficient in digital delivery across all seven future cities.
  • This will be a client facing role and will be expected to present internally to the City SLT, the project teams and their supply chains.
  • Support the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assess the current resources on current projects to ensure that they are sufficient to meet the project goals.
  • Communicates effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Conducts interviews to assess the skills and experience of potential candidates for BIM roles.
  • Develops BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Develops the client's digital handover strategy.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of ISO19650 and any applicable standards for clients.
  • Ensures security protocols have been followed for viewing and issuing of information on all projects.
  • Implements governance and assurance processes.
  • Monitors digital handover to completion.
  • Participates in industry events to stay up to date on the latest BIM developments.
  • Produces Information Requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR and EIR) as per ISO 19650.
  • Produces information standards, methods and procedures, and shared resources.
  • Raises job requisitions to identify and recruit new talent for the BIM team.
  • Researches compliance with new regulations and governance.
  • Responsible for object library development in alignment with wider BIM Strategy.
  • Responsible for the Assurance and Checking of the Information Model.
  • Responsible for the Production of the Information Model. (Pre-RIBA Stage 3 only)
  • Reviews Autodesk construction cloud account management and stay up to date on the latest Autodesk developments.
  • Reviews current technology solutions and research new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies.
  • Supports construction sequencing strategy using information models.
  • Supports Mace Cost team in preparation of cost plans from information models.
  • Provides training on using databases, analysing data, creating templates, conducting assurance, COBie production, and other BIM-related topics.
  • Upskills the client team, Mace project managers and design team by running BIM knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Collaborates with Mace PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement plans/identifies key business improvements.
  • Develops & maintains a series of both internal and external relationships.
  • Manages & influences Key/Senior stakeholders.
