Job summary

gu-recruitment in Oman seeks an experienced Legal Counsel to prepare, coordinate, draft, and review contracts, MoUs, and related documents in line with applicable laws. You will assess legal risks and provide support to ensure compliance and timely execution of agreements.

The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and drafting skills, fluency in Arabic and English, and the ability to manage multiple legal tasks across units while maintaining meticulous records and meeting regulatory

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law or Legal Studies with 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law or Legal Studies with 10 years post-qualification experience.
• Professional certificate related to the job is considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate, draft, and review contracts, agreements, and MoUs.
• Follow up on all matters affecting contracts, agreements, or MoUs and establish implementation mechanisms.
• Maintain legal documents, records, and references and assist in archiving them.
• Identify legal risks by analyzing contract clauses and related documents.
• Provide legal support in reviewing laws, agreements, regulations, and policies.
• Represent the unit in committees drafting regulations and laws.
