Job description

Job Purpose

Support the Director of Gas & New Energies in driving portfolio strategy, performance management, and operational excellence across gas production assets and new energy initiatives. The role will provide data-driven insights, strategic analysis, and decision support to enable optimization of assets, enhance financial performance, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Assist in the preparation of annual plans, long-term strategies, and performance forecasts.
  • Support the execution of portfolio strategies for Gas and New Energies assets.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including production, uptime, cost efficiency, revenues, and profitability.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to the Director and senior leadership.
  • Support performance reviews of gas operations and renewable energy assets.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for the gas and renewables portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy and Planning team in the preparation of the cost-benefit analysis, lifecycle cost assessments, and economic evaluations of projects and new investments.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting and assumptions.
  • Identify and assess risks related to gas production and renewable asset development, including market, technical, and regulatory risks.
  • Develop risk assessment models and support mitigation planning.
  • Provide scenario analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Promote data‑driven decision‑making through improved analytics and reporting tools.
  • Work with digital and IT teams to enhance data quality, accessibility, and visualization.
  • Support implementation of advanced analytics solutions where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Finance, Energy Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7–10 years of experience in business analysis, strategy, or performance management within oil & gas, energy, or utilities sectors.
  • Strong understanding of gas production operations and/or renewable energy technologies.
  • Experience in financial modeling, data analytics, and business case evaluation.
