Overview

As a Security Guard at Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, colleagues, and hotel property. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment in accordance with hotel policies and local regulations while delivering exceptional service in line with IHG brand standards.

Your day-to-day
  • Patrol all areas of the hotel property to ensure guest and employee safety.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and access control systems.
  • Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies such as fire alarms, medical situations, disturbances, or unauthorized persons on hotel premises.
  • Assist in investigations of thefts, suspicious activities, and accidents.
  • Maintain clear and accurate logs and incident reports.
  • Escort guests or staff when requested.
  • Ensure all fire and safety equipment is functional and report maintenance issues.
  • Enforce hotel rules and regulations, ensuring a respectful and professional approach.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
  • Assist in crowd control during events or high-traffic times.
  • Monitor and control access to staff areas, loading docks, and parking zones.
  • Support in conducting regular fire safety drills and health & safety audits.
What we need from you
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in hospitality or customer service.
  • Basic first aid, fire safety, and emergency response knowledge.
  • Ability to operate security systems and surveillance equipment.
  • Physically fit and able to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and handle situations professionally under pressure.
