Overview
Deployment: The successful candidate will be deployed to support a major banking client.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Scrum Master to join our dynamic Agile delivery team. As a Scrum Master, you will serve as a coach, facilitator, and servant leader—empowering cross-functional teams to excel in an Agile environment. You will champion Agile best practices, remove impediments, and foster a culture of transparency, inspection, and adaptation.
This role is classified as Official and plays a critical part in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with business goals. The successful candidate will be deployed to support a major banking client, working closely within their digital channels ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure meetings are productive, time-boxed, and focused on team outcomes.
- Partner closely with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
- Guide the team in accurate user story estimation, forecasting, and sprint planning.
- Coach the team on Agile frameworks, IT standards, security, quality, and architectural best practices.
- Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments that hinder team progress.
- Promote team self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Represent the team in cross-team coordination forums (e.g., Scrum of Scrums).
- Maintain transparency with stakeholders and leadership on delivery progress, risks, and challenges.
- Leverage metrics (e.g., velocity, quality, cycle time) to drive data-informed improvements.
- Support the adoption and effective use of Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Rally.
- Stay current with industry trends by participating in communities of practice, conferences, and learning opportunities.
- Contribute to the evolution of Agile practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in Agile software development environments.
- 3–5 years of proven experience as a Scrum Master.
- Agile, Scrum, or project management certification preferred (e.g., CSM, CSP, PMP, SAFe).
- Background in digital channels within the banking or financial services sector is strongly preferred.

- Exceptional coaching, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities—able to distill complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Rally, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and foster team accountability.
