Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant with expertise in Document Management (DOC) and strong background in airline industry finance processes. The consultant will play a key role in designing, configuring, and optimizing finance solutions for an airline transformation program, ensuring compliance with IATA and IFRS standards, while enabling efficient document handling and revenue accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops with finance and business teams to gather airline-specific requirements (passenger, cargo, and interline processes).
• Configure and support S/4HANA Finance modules: FI, CO, Asset Accounting, Universal Journal (ACDOCA), and Group Reporting.
• Implement Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) to meet IFRS 15 / IATA 606 compliance.
• Integrate and optimize document management workflows (invoices, contracts, flight documentation, archiving).
• Support financial integration with airline operations, including MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) and fleet lease accounting.
• Perform system impact analysis of S/4HANA Simplification Items on existing airline finance processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams on custom developments, interfaces, and Fiori apps.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to business users and IT stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with airline regulatory frameworks, data retention, and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of SAP Finance (ECC & S/4HANA) experience, with at least 2 end-to-end S/4HANA Finance projects.
• Hands-on expertise in S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO, Universal Journal, Asset Accounting, Group Reporting).
• Strong knowledge of Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) for airlines (IATA, IFRS 15 / ASC 606).
• Experience with Document Management (DOC/DMS/Archiving) in SAP.
• Proven track record in airline finance processes, including passenger and cargo revenue, interline billing, and lease accounting.
• Familiarity with airline-specific integration areas (SAP BRIM, SAP EAM/PM, Travel & Expense).
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to engage business stakeholders.
• SAP Certification in S/4HANA Finance is a plus.
