Role purpose:

To manage an assigned set of distributors/sales dealers across Oman, overseeing all sales, orders, product performance, and gaining retailer feedback to further improve the number and quality of dealerships and services offered by VFC. Adopts a can-do approach to get things done, employing initiative, pragmatism, and common sense. Create and maintain a working environment that is backed by the Vodafone spirit and supports its purpose.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Manage assigned staff at the level determined by senior management across designated regions.
  • Promote dealer awareness of VFO products and services.
  • Create a product framework for dealers to reach out to gain increased distribution leverage across the length and breath of the Sultanate of Oman.
  • Monitor sales, orders, product performance, and retailer feedback to further improve the number and quality of the market for VFO.
  • Monitor distributor KPIs and ensure alignment with agreed SLAs and performance metrics.
  • Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and dealers to ensure consistent product availability
  • Monitor stock availability across all VF dealers and improve dealer active dealers’ levels.
  • Engage with dealers or potential clients, and ensure all orders are fulfilled on time and without delays.
  • Meet gross ad and revenue target of the department.
  • Enhance and expand the dealer network.
  • Conduct regular training program on product awareness and offers for dealer network.
  • Conduct mystery shopping to identify dealer gaps.
  • Be a focal point for operational/IT issues related to the department.
  • Make sure the dealer outlets are well presented and process driven.
  • Maintain a healthy relationship between distributor and dealer.
  • Responsible to conduct dealer events and engagement programs with dealers.
  • Undertake similar or related duties as directed by senior management.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

  • Strong knowledge of regional market dynamics and trends.
  • 6–8 years of proven experience in telecom or FMCG distribution sectors.
  • Possession of a valid Omani driving license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in written and spoken Arabic.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Solid commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage effective relationships with stakeholders
